At the Plastic Whale Foundation, our programmes invite children and young people to experience plastic pollution first-hand – and discover in a playful way that they can be part of the solution. Some programmes take place on the water, others on land. All are designed to turn curiosity into understanding, and action into lasting awareness.
Children remember what they do. By actively taking part – on the water or on land – students don’t just learn about plastic pollution, they experience the solution. This creates pride, ownership and motivation that lasts well beyond the activity itself.
Plastic Fishing and Hunting brings environmental topics to life in a way textbooks can’t. Students learn through experience – boosting understanding, curiosity and long-term awareness.
The activity takes place outdoors and encourages movement, teamwork, and exploration — supporting both physical and social development.
By actively removing plastic from their environment, students develop a sense of responsibility and ownership for their surroundings.

From hands-on learning today to a plastic-free land and sea tomorrow. Our programmes are designed to do more than clean up plastic. They help children and young people understand their role, grow confidence, and carry that learning into everyday life.
Yes. Safety is our top priority. All activities are supervised by trained Plastic Whale Foundation facilitators. Children wear gloves and use child-friendly equipment, and activities take place in carefully selected, safe locations. We never ask children to enter the water.
Plastic Fishing takes place on the water in boats. Plastic Hunting takes place on land, near schools or public spaces. Both focus on awareness, teamwork and positive action.
Please come dressed for the weather and wear sturdy shoes. We’ll provide all necessary materials.
